How Fortuna works

Provably fair · commit & reveal

Fortuna is provably fair, not just "trust us". Before any spins are played, the house publishes a commitment — the SHA-256 fingerprint of a secret seed — so it's locked in and can't be changed afterwards. Each spin's result is then derived deterministically from your own transaction hash combined with that secret. When the round closes, the house reveals the secret: anyone can confirm its fingerprint matches the original commitment, then recompute every spin and verify the payouts were honest. The house cannot see your transaction and then pick a seed that makes you lose — the seed was committed first. Use Verify a spin in the header to check any result.

Your funds & your safety

You stay fully sovereign: your keys never leave your wallet, and you approve every single spin. The Fate Vault (jackpot) grows from a small share of each stake until a lucky spin claims it. The Sanctum Reserve is the house treasury that backs every payout — shown live so you can always see the funds standing behind the game; maximum payouts are bounded by it. Each of the 15 cells is drawn independently from the same weighted reel strip, so every spin is a fresh, independent event. "Reel weight" is how many of the 42 positions on each reel strip carry that symbol — rarer symbols pay more. All five reels use the same strip.

Return to player (RTP) & the odds

Fortuna's slot engine has a base RTP of ≈ 96.6%, with the progressive jackpot adding roughly 1% for a combined return of about 97.6% — meaning over a long run the game returns about 97.6 KAS for every 100 KAS staked, and keeps ~2.4% as the house edge. This figure is a mathematical property of the paytable and reel weights above, not a setting we adjust, and you can confirm it yourself: recompute the expected value from the weights and multipliers, or replay thousands of verified spins through the fairness tool. The Fate Vault jackpot triggers at fixed odds of 1 in 1,000,000 per spin, independent of the reels, funded by 1% of every stake and held in its own dedicated on-chain wallet (linked above) so it is always fully covered and payable. RTP describes the long-run average — any single session can swing far above or below it.

Network fees & settlement

Every bet and every payout is a real Kaspa transaction, so each carries a tiny network fee (a small fraction of a KAS, set just above the node's minimum relay fee). You pay the fee on your bet from your own wallet; the house pays the fee on your winnings. Nothing is pooled or held off-chain: a spin is a direct transfer to the house address, and a win is paid straight back to the address you played from, usually within seconds. Stakes are exactly 1, 5 or 10 KAS — any other amount sent to the house address is treated as a non-bet and is not returned, so always stake one of the three valid amounts.
